Our Story

Gentle Waves began from a place of love and loss—a love for animals and the heartbreaking experience of saying goodbye to them. Like many pet owners, we’ve felt the pain of losing a cherished companion. Those moments made us realise how important it is to honour our pets in a way that truly reflects the joy they brought into our lives.

When we discovered water cremation, we knew it was something special: a gentle, eco-friendly alternative to traditional methods. It aligned perfectly with our values of compassion and sustainability. That’s how Gentle Waves came to life—Auckland’s first pet water cremation service, created by pet lovers for pet lovers.

Our Passion
